the weekend.... and falling off of the wagon

Cupcakes are the devils food. Sweet Sweet Devils Food.


I made two dozen of them for my sister-to-be's birthday party. One batch was a delectable lemon drop cupcake with a thick lemon butter cream, the other was a strawberry tall-cake with vanilla butter cream.
I held back from eating them all and only had one cupcake, which was quite the challenge....however I am still not proud of myself.

I have to admit that I fell off of the wagon with something I barely ever have...

BEER. (okay and some whiskey)

Shit! I had like 7 beers, two whiskey sours and played like 27 games of flip cup. I went way over my calories, myfitnesspal.com estimates 1722 calories (goal is 1200) and guess how much of it was booze?

992 CALORIES in booze!

YIKES!



I could have had NINE cupcakes and it would have been less calories.

I felt pretty bad about this on Sunday so I walked about 5 miles the next morning  I've learned a hard lesson this weekend, I can't drink my calories. And beer gives me a nasty hangover.

Also regarding my last post, I couldn't fully walk again until Sunday (or bend my arms) ...so my advice is to ease into your exercise and not jump into the hardest class at the gym.
